Acting Mayor Ponte has no plans to sign Fall River Comcast contract
In what has become a hot button topic with the revelation that Comcast is increasing prices, it appears that Acting Mayor Ponte has no plans to sign the Comcast contract with the City of Fall River.
When we asked Ponte about the Comcast contract that is up for signature, the acting Mayor stated that he has not signed it and does not plan to. Ponte also added that he does not support the contract as acting Mayor or as the City Council President.
It is unclear, as of yet, if Mayor-Elect Paul Coogan plans on signing the contract in its current state.
Here is the previous expiring Comcast contract signed by then Mayor Robert Correia in 2009.

I use Comcast for my internet, and that is way too expensive already. I’ll be looking for another internet provider real soon.
