A different type of storytime among the activities coming to the Fall River Public Library
The Fall River Public Library has some events to brighten up the dull days of winter. Here are some of the highlights for the end of January and beginning of February.
Teen Lava Lamp Craft: Monday, January 23 at 6 pm. Free DIY lava lamp for teens 12-18; registration not required.
Dinosaur Preschool Storytime: Tuesday, January 24 at 11 am. Meet a dinosaur wrangler and his baby T-Rex, hear dinosaur stories, and make a dino craft! Ages 3 and up.
Royal Readers Club: Wednesday, January 25, 4 pm. A new club for kids who love to read! The first featured book will be The Fantastic Four and the Cooking Disaster.
Magic: The Gathering: Wednesday, January 25, 5 pm. For teens age 12-18.
Storytime with the Interact Club: Saturday, January 28, 11 am. Join the library for this special community storytime presented by members of the Interact Club of Durfee High School.
Happy Birthday, Sheldon!: Tuesday, January 31, 4 pm. Help the library celebrate the birthday of the Children’s Room mascot, Sheldon the Tortoise!
Teen Anime Club, Tuesday, January 31, 6 pm. Love anime? Teens 12-18 are invited to join the library to watch and talk about your favorites.
Pastel Paint Workshop (ONLINE): Tuesday, January 31, 6 pm. Paint a rose inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe in this special ZOOM workshop led by artist Gregory Maichack. Become a Soup Master! Saturday, February 4, 10:30 am. Learn the art of homemade soup in this cooking workshop led by Therapy Gardens. To sign up, email kkulpa@sailsinc.org or call the library at 508-324-2700, ext. 2.
The library will also be featuring:
Preschool Storytime, every Tuesday at 11 am and Play & Learn, every Wednesday at 10 am.
Children’s Take-Home Crafts. A different craft is offered each week in the Children’s Room.
BEAM, Interactive children’s games, Thursday afternoons from 4-5.
Chess Club, Saturdays from 1-3 pm.
Covid Vaccine Clinics will be offered on select Wednesdays from 3-7 pm and on Saturdays from 1-4 pm, free of charge. Call the library to confirm that the clinic is being held that day or visit https://frvax.com. Home Covid test kits are also available.

Shut the library down and save the taxpayers the money wasted on it.
The transvestites using ‘drag queen stories’ to lure small children into their midst is a type of demonic ancient ‘siren song’ and a form of occult practice.
The place is now cursed.
