Letter: Westport family loses needed extra income after being reported to Board of Health
Hello.
We would like to thank the individual who reported us to the Board of Health for selling Valentineβs Gifts from our little shop. This world has really become a negative and hating place. My little guy and I have worked so hard on these items. Days in and days out making these gift baskets, floral chocolate arrangements, gift vases, and other gifts out of epoxy-resin. We also have clothes, shoes, picture frames, childrenβs books, game boards, candles and accessories. Weβve made many other crafty items throughout the years so none of our work is news. I have been without a job for over 2 months despite the 5 handful of job applications submitted since September 2021. These sales would have helped us immensely! Never in the 5 years that I have had my business have I ever had to experience such an act. Our business license (LLC) has been in the process through the state, the commercial building part as well, and our food license has been in transition from our old town and COVID has a lot to do with this outrageous delay, but I see no reason why this needs to be explained. If you never applied for any of these licenses or any other type you have no place nor right to break a personβs livelihood as these DO NOT fall from the sky and onto your hands. It is absurd and very sad.

Itβs a shame that there is so much hatred and jealousy in this world. I wish we could all get along! Hopefully you will be able to get this resolved and continue with your work.

That is horrible! I see a bunch of people selling Valentine items on Facebook Marketplace. Give that a shot!
