Massachusetts DOT: Lane closures to take place on Route 6 from Fall River to Seekonk for 4 days

SEEKONK TO FALL RIVER – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced that it will be performing ancillary structure inspections on Route 6 eastbound and westbound from Seekonk to Fall River. The work is scheduled to take place between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., beginning Tuesday, September 2nd, through Friday, September 5th. Work is anticipated to be completed by Friday afternoon, September 5th. 

Lane closures on Route 6 eastbound and westbound will be in place. Temporary traffic alterations, including lane and shoulder closures, will occur as needed. At least one lane of travel will be maintained at all times, and police will assist with traffic control and safety setups. 

Appropriate signage and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.     

Drivers traveling through the affected area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.     

All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
