Fall River downtown donut shop closes after 5 years in business; here’s why
A donut shop in the Scholarship City has closed its doors after 5 years in business.
In September of 2020, New England Homemade Donuts moved their initial location on East Main Road in Portsmouth, RI to 138 South Main Street in Fall River.
Last Monday, the Fall River location moved to West Warwick.
Fall River Reporter contacted management on what caused the closure, but they had no hard feelings and was appreciative of Fall River.
“We just didn’t make enough to survive. Thanks to everyone for being our customers for 5 years.”
Along with handcrafted donuts and other specialty pastries, NEHD serves handmade breakfast sandwiches and quenches your thirst with New England Coffee and house-made teas.
In addition to West Warwick, NEHD is currently located at 2340 West Main Road in Portsmouth, Rhode Island and 2073 Smith Street in North Providence.
