Bristol County 14-year-old bicyclist suffers head trauma, multiple injuries, after collision with motor vehicle

Fall River Reporter has received an update concerning a 14-year-old girl injured in Bristol County riding her bike on Friday.

According to police, at just after 5:30 p.m., Taunton Police responded to 129 Tremont Street for reports that a bicyclist had been struck by a motor vehicle.

The bicyclist, a 14-year-old female, was transported to a local trauma center for serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a Dodge Durango, remained on scene and is cooperating with police.

According to a GoFundMe fundraiser and family members, Liliana is bravely fighting through head trauma and multiple injuries.

“Liliana is a vibrant, loving, and strong young girl, and our family is holding onto faith as she begins this long journey of healing. While the doctors and nurses care for her physical wounds, her mom and dad —my godmother and uncle—needs to be by her side every step of the way.”

The cause of the crash is under investigation by Taunton Police with the assistance of the Taunton Police Crash Reconstruction Unit.
