50-year-old Bristol County man seriously injured in motor vehicle crash involving motorcycle

A Bristol County man has been seriously injured in a motorcycle crash.

According to police, at approximately 9:45 p.m. Bourne Police and Bourne Fire & Rescue were dispatched to MacArthur Blvd (northbound) in the area of mile marker 62.4 for a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. The first responding officers located a Harley Davidson motorcycle had been struck from behind by a Ford Escape.

The operator of the motorcycle, a 50-year-old male from Taunton, was conscious and alert but had sustained serious injuries. He was transported to an off-Cape Trama Center by Bourne Fire & Rescue.

The operator of the Ford Escape, a 23-year-old female from Falmouth, was not injured and refused medical treatment.

The Bourne Police were assisted on scene by MASSDOT, MA State Police, and officers from the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council’s Crash Reconstruction Team.

The crash remains under investigation by the Bourne Police Department, with the assistance of the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council’s Crash Reconstruction Team.
