Westport Police, Fire/Paramedics respond to multi-vehicle highway crash with serious injuries

A multi-vehicle crash on a local highway resulted in injuries to one of the drivers.

According to the Westport Fire Department, just after 11:00 p.m. on Friday, Westport’s Firefighter/Paramedics and Westport Police responded to a serious 2 car crash at the intersection of Route 88 & Briggs Road.

One patient was ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries. Scanner transmissions revealed that the female had head trauma.

The patient was treated and transported by Westport Firefighter/Paramedics to a local trauma center.

The crash is under investigation.
