State Police, United States Coast Guard, recover one unresponsive after boat capsizes off Massachusetts coast

Crews have made a recovery after a boat was found capsized off of the Massachusetts coast.

According to Massachusetts State Police, at approximately noon, members of the State Police Marine Unit and the United States Coast Guard responded to investigate a capsized boat off of Nantasket Beach.

Troopers patrolling the beach along with Hull Police and Fire arrived on scene to search the shoreline. 

First Responders located one unresponsive person in the water and rendered aid, including CPR. 

The State Police and the Coast Guard continued to investigate to determine if other individuals or vessels may be missing in connection with this incident. 

At this time, preliminary information does not indicate any outstanding individuals or vessels. 

No information is currently available regarding the recovered person’s identity.

The matter remains under investigation by the State Police Plymouth County Detective Unit and Crime Scene Services who responded to the scene.
