Fall River personnel responded to a collision involving a Fall River police officer on Sunday morning.
A call came in just before 11:15 a.m. in the area of 870 North Main Street (Family Dollar) for a crash involving an officer on a motorcycle.
The officer was conscious and alert according to scanner transmissions.

He was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford and is in stable condition.
According to Fall River Police, the Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating the scene. Please use alternate routes until further notice.
