Massachusetts woman reveals what she is doing with the cash after hitting $1 million prize on State Lottery instant game
When Massachusetts residents hit big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket, some want a new home while others stay put. This winner will take the latter.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Clarissa Peltier of Southbridge is the first $1 million grand prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new “Triple 777” instant ticket game that went on sale Tuesday, April 15.
She chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). Peltier said she plans on doing some home repairs with the winnings.
She purchased her winning ticket at 7 Star Liquors, 543 Main St. in Southbridge. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
