Massachusetts State Police investigating after person pronounced dead at Purgatory Chasm

A person was found dead at a popular Massachusetts landmark.

According to Massachusetts State Police, shortly after 2:00 p.m., State Police responded to reports of a person who fell at Purgatory Chasm in Sutton and was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers have secured the scene, and the circumstances of the incident remain under investigation by the State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.

No further information is available regarding the decedent’s identity.
