Fall River woman arrested for third time since June
Fall River Police arrested a city woman who is well known to the department.
According to Detective John Robinson, on Friday, September 7th, at approximately 03:30 p.m., Detectives of Fall River Police Departments Vice and Intelligence Unit were armed with a search warrant for Victoria Travassos age 35 and her 2004 Hyundai Sonata. Lead Detective Matthew Gauvin was assisted by Lead Detective Magan was assisted by Detectives Luis Duarte, Bryan Custadio, James Elumba, Athan Parousis, Brian Cabral, and Detective Sergeant Greg Wiley.
Upon stopping the Hyundai, Travassos was detained and the search warrant executed. Located in the seat occupied by Travassos were numerous blue glassine baggies containing suspected Heroin, a digital scale, and an assorted amount of U.S. Currency.
Located on Travassos in the upper portion of her waist was a clear plastic baggie containing numerous blue glassine bags of suspected heroin. In all 250 bags of suspected Heroin were confiscated.
Victoria Travassos age 35 of 578 Osborn Street Fall River, was taken into custody on a charge of:
Possess to Distribute a Class A Substance
This is the second time Travassos has been arrested in less than a month and the third time since June.
