Tiverton and Somerset police departments holding annual toy drives

The Tiverton Police Department has begun their annual Operation: Blue Santa (OBS) 2024 Gift/Toy Drive and Santa for Seniors.

They are looking for NEW/UNWRAPPED gifts for juveniles 17 years of age and under, as well as appropriate gifts for seniors. TPD will be collecting until December 1st.

You can drop off your donated item(s) at the following locations:

All Operation: Blue Santa and Santa for Seniors donations go to families in need of holiday cheer in Tiverton FIRST. The gift giving season will culminate with the Stuff-A-Cruiser event at Tom’s Market on December 1st, 2024, from 11am to 1pm.

If you are a family in need of a little extra assistance this year, please contact Lieutenant John LeDuc at jleduc@tivertonpoliceri.com with subject line Blue Santa, or Santa for Seniors to request an application for assistance.

Somerset Police are also holding their annual toy drive. If you find yourself needing assistance, please reach out to A_frates@somersetpd.org. They will be accepting names until 11/20. EMAILING IS THE ONLY WAY TO BE ADDED TO THE LIST. They do their best to assist each person however priority will be given to Somerset & Swansea residents as there are no other toy drives dedicated to these towns. With that being said they will still make every effort to assist people in other communities as well.
