Massachusetts State Police investigating after Wareham highway crash kills 1
A person is dead after a Saturday morning highway crash in Massachusetts.
A call came into dispatch at just after 9:00 a.m. for a vehicle upside down in the Agawam River on Route 25 in Wareham near mile marker 3.2.
Upon arrival, crews located the vehicle with a deceased person inside.
There was evidence, including tracks, that the vehicle hit the median and then entered into the water.
Lanes on the west and eastbound sides of the highway were closed during the incident.
According to Massachusetts State Police, the body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner but has not been identified at this time.
