Fall River parent says child was injured by schoolteacher which led us to contact school officials
The parent of a Fall River student took to social media this week expressing his anger over an incident he says occurred between his son and a teacher at Carlton Viveiros Elementary School.
The parent provided the above photos and the following statement:
“To the teacher that left this mark on my son from grabbing him by his shirt count your days!! Dude you old asf putting your hands on people’s kids. If this school doesn’t do something about it, I promise you y’all going to pay for this s***. All cause my son was having a bad moment and was hiding under a desk which I know is wrong, but you had no reason to forcefully grab him by his shirt the way you did and leave these marks on him. One thing is for certain I’m (going to) make sure you lose your job and aren’t able to work around no kids no more.”
The parent later updated stating that the teacher was placed on leave.
On Thursday, Fall River Reporter contacted Principal Tricia Whitty via email asking if in fact the teacher was placed on leave in addition to revealing any details on the incident and she referred us to the superintendent’s office for comment. We then contacted both Superintendent Dr. Tracy Curley and the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools early Thursday afternoon and have yet to receive a response.
