Police reveal what caused vehicle to crash into a Rhode Island Dunkin’, hit another vehicle
Authorities have determined what caused a vehicle to crash into a Rhode Island business.
According to police, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the Coventry Police and Central Coventry Fire Department responded to Dunkin Donuts located at 2285 New London Tpk. for a vehicle that had crashed into the building.
Once the occupants of the vehicle were checked by rescue personnel, Officers were able to determine that the operator suffered a medical event which resulted in the vehicle traveling through the parking lot, striking an unoccupied parked vehicle, and then striking the corner of the building.
The Town of Coventry Building Inspector responded to the scene where it was determined that dining room and front entrance be closed however the drive through would remain opened until it was fixed by management.
