Multi-vehicle crash on Route 44 results in medflight transport
A multi-vehicle crash on Friday resulted in serious injuries.
According to the Middleboro Firefighter Union, crews responded to Route 44 in the area of Old Center Street for a motor vehicle accident just before noon time involving a tractor trailer and SUV.
As a result of the crash, one patient required extrication from the vehicle and transport via helicopter for further care.
The collision closed part of Route 44.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
