Massachusetts woman becomes first $1 million prize winner in new State Lottery game
A Massachusetts woman has some ideas on what she wants to do with the big money she just hit on a scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Christine Wilson is the first $1 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Lifetime Millions” instant ticket game, the Mass Lottery’s second $50 ticket.
Wilson, who is from Mansfield, chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). She said she plans to use some of her winnings to buy a new SUV.
She purchased her winning ticket at Dubs’s Discount Liquors, 30 Chauncy St. in Mansfield. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
Launched on February 6, “Lifetime Millions” offers Mass Lottery players the chance of winning $1 million a year for life instantly.
