Massachusetts man knows what he is spending the money on after hitting $1 million State Lottery prize
A Massachusetts man already knows what he will do with his winnings after hitting big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Joseph DeRosa Jr. has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” $10 instant ticket game.
DeRosa, who is from Carver, chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He said he plans to use his winnings to buy a couple of cars and do some home improvements.
His winning ticket was purchased at Carver Gas & Convenience Store, 224 Tremont St. in Carver. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
