Lakeville Fire Department responds to two major collisions overnight
Crews responded to two serious crashes in a few hours from late last night into the early morning hours.
According to the Lakeville Fire Department, the first accident occurred Friday night just before 11:00 p.m. in the area of 242 Kenneth Welch Drive. The heavily damaged vehicle was found unoccupied by first responders.
The second crash occurred just before 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning in the area of 144 Rhode Island Road. The crash caused significant damage to the vehicle and a utility pole. The occupant self-extricated and refused medical aid.
Firefighters were recalled for both crashes to augment the 3 on duty firefighters.
Both crashes are under investigation.
