Fall River boy made officer for a day by FRPD
A Fall River boy has always wanted to become a police officer. Today the Fall River Police Department made it a reality.
8 year old Jordan Ortiz, who has Spina Bifada, has had a dream of becoming an officer.
Today, Officer Deborah Jackson and FRPD made it all come true for him.
The Fall River Police Department gave him his own uniform, shirt, cop belt, and hat.
Jordan was part of the team. They swore him in at role call. He even got to ride around in a cruiser for about a half hour with Officer Jackson. He even dealt with the press.
Later this morning, Officer Jackson returned Jordan to Viveiros School where he patrolled as school officer for the day.
Jordan was super excited and very happy. So was his mother Bibi. “It was awesome. I can’t thank the Fall River Police Department enough.”
