There are some happy grandkids after Massachusetts man hits $1 million prize on State Lottery scratch ticket
We think there are likely a few grandkids jumping for joy after their grandfather announced how he will be spending the money he won on a State Lottery scratch ticket.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Savuth Ing is the first $1 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s new “100X Cash” instant ticket game.
Ing, who is from Saugus, will turn 80 next year, opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans to use some of his winnings to buy a newer car for himself, and to share some with his grandkids.
He purchased his winning ticket at One Stop Mart, 601 Boston Street in Lynn. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
