Southeastern Massachusetts man killed in morning pedestrian crash
A southeastern Massachusetts man has died after a pedestrian crash that took place Saturday morning.
According to police, at approximately 10:45 a.m., Police and Fire units were dispatched to a reported crash involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Cocasset and Oak Streets in Foxborough.
Upon arrival, Officers located a male pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle on Cocasset Street. The victim was transported by Foxborough Fire to a Boston area trauma center where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The victim was a Foxborough resident and his name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
The operator of the vehicle, a 35-year-old Foxborough resident, remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The crash remains under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction unit, Foxborough Detectives and the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.
