Westport man arraigned in Fall River court on Child Pornography charges
Police have arrested a local man on a disturbing charge.
On November 2, Westport Police Detectives placed a man under arrest for Possession of Child Pornography.
In October, Richard Vohnoutka Sr. of Westport had his computer serviced by Best Buy’s Geek Squad. During this service, they discovered a bookmark that possibly contained child pornography. This computer was seized by Detectives who were later granted a warrant to search the device. Hundreds of images were located that are designated as child sexual abuse material.
With this information, Detectives were granted an arrest warrant for Vohnoutka and an additional search warrant for his residence. As a result of the search, Detectives located additional images of child pornography as well as four unsecured firearms.
Vohnoutka was arraigned in Fall River District Court. The investigation is ongoing with additional charges pending.
