Mega Millions ticket purchase leads to Massachusetts man winning $1 million in lottery instant ticket game
The decision that a Massachusetts man made after buying tickets for a big pot lottery drawing turned out to be a very lucrative one.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Sean Sullivan has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “4,000,000 Spectacular” instant ticket game.
Sullivan, who is from Palmer, had stopped to buy Mega Millions tickets and decided to add an instant ticket to his purchase. He bought his winning ticket at Sandri located at 776 North King Street in Northampton. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
Sullivan, who enjoys fishing, opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes).
