North Attleboro man charged with recording people nude in bathroom of Massachusetts business
A Massachusetts man has been arrested for reportedly recording people in the bathroom of a business.
According to Foxborough Police, on Tuesday, a call was received from a local business where an employee had discovered what appeared to be a hidden camera in a restroom in a common area of the building.
Responding Officers discovered a cell phone actively recording video. The phone was disguised in a box on the floor made to look like extra cleaning supplies.
Officers and Detectives were able to stop the recording and identify the suspect, who was a contract janitor who had been working in the building.
Anizio Carvalho, a 29-year-old man from North Attleboro, was placed under arrest for photographing an unsuspecting nude person in violation of Ch. 272 Sec. 105, a crime punishable by up to 2 ½ years in the house of corrections.
Police did not reveal which business the incident took place.
The matter is still under investigation to identify any other potential victims in Foxborough or buildings in other communities where he may have been working as a janitor.
