Tiverton Fire Department battles blaze that destroys garage, damages home
A fire Monday evening destroyed a garage and damaged a home.
According to the Tiverton Fire Department, at approximately 7:45 p.m., firefighters responded to Five Rod Way for a structure fire.
Upon arrival, crews found a detached garage fully involved in close proximity to the residence.
The fire was quickly brought under control.
The house sustained exterior damage, however, the fire did not extend inside.
With no fire hydrants in the area, mutual aid tankers were called to the scene from Westport and Dartmouth.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation at the time of this post.
