Police in Rhode Island investigating after three people shot while riding in vehicle
Police are looking into an incident where three people were shot over the weekend.
According to Pawtucket Police, Saturday evening at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers responded to the vicinity of Prospect at Division Street for a report of shots fired.
A vehicle with four occupants had been shot at by a separate vehicle while traveling down Prospect Street. Two occupants from the vehicle that had been shot fled on foot and were later brought to an area hospital. The remaining occupants attempted to drive themselves to a hospital but stopped on Interstate 95 south. Upon being located they were also brought to an area hospital.
Three victims, a 26-year-old man, a 26-year-old man, and a 21-year-old woman sustained gunshot wounds that were non-life threatening.
