Suspect in Massachusetts vehicle wanted in fatal pedestrian crash turns himself in, released on bail
Police have located a suspect allegedly involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Saturday.
Just before 5:00 p.m., a woman was struck and killed in the area of the entrance ramp on RI 10 Northbound at exit 3A (Union Avenue) in Providence. The entrance ramp was blocked for approximately 2 hours.
The suspect, who was driving a GMC truck with Massachusetts plates, is 40-year-old Domingo Grave-Castro, according to WPRI. Grave-Castro turned himself in Sunday after allegedly striking 76-year-old Violet Barracks as she crossed Union Avenue.
Grave-Castro was released on $30,000 bail with surety after losing his license and turning in his passport.
He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, death resulting and is expected back in court this month.
