Edaville Family Theme Park to open in limited capacity for 2 days, property up for sale
A legendary theme park that has been entertaining families for 75 years is on the market.
According to The Patriot Ledger, Edaville Family Theme Park’s owner, Delli Priscoli, will be putting the property up for sale. He wants to use some of the land for residential development and is looking to have a new owner in place by the summer.
“It’s time for new energy,” Priscoli said. “Our preference would be to see that the park continue on. It needs new energy, new vision.”
The park, located at 5 Pine Street in Carver, has not been open since it closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic except for the Christmas Festival of Lights last year.
The 65-year-old Priscoli did not divulge a price tag for the property, but stated that in the 21 years he has owned Edaville, $25 million has been put into it.
Edaville turned 75-years-old on April 7th. At least for now, the park will only open for two days (April 23rd and 24th) and attractions will be limited, according to management. Maine Locomotive & Machine Works will be holding a 75th anniversary celebration. The park rides will not be running, and Thomas Land and Dino Land will be closed. However, there will be other attractions such as model railroad layouts, antique tractors, cars, and trucks. Any questions about the event are to be directed to Maine Locomotive & Machine Works.
