Freetown voters shot down retail marijuana sales in the town on Saturday.
Freetown voters shot down retail marijuana sales in the town on Saturday.
The results of Saturday’s Special Freetown Election were posted Sunday by Town Clerk Jacqueline Brown.
Freetown voters voted to prohibit retail sales of marijuana 219 to 195. The election was to decide on whether the town should adopt a bylaw for complete prohibition of marijuana sales within town limits.
Only 7 percent of the 5,855 registered voters went to the polls on the measure.
The results, however, are unofficial.
