Fall River Police arrest two after multiple guns found
Fall River Police arrested two city men on gun charges Thursday morning.
According to Fall River Police, members of the FRPD Gang Unit, Vice & Intelligence Unit and FBI Metro Gang Task Force executed a search warrant at 148/150 Purchase Street.
As a result of the investigation, two firearms were recovered. A Ruger SR22P handgun with ammunition and a Harrington and Richardson 12 gauge Shotgun with ammunition.
The warrant resulted in the arrest of 20-year-old Noah Freitas and 19-year-old Jordan Benevides.
Benevides and Freitas were charged with Possession of a firearm without a FID card and Possession of Ammunition without an FID card.
Police Chief Jeffrey Cardoza stated, “Gun violence is our top priority. If you carry or possess an illegal firearm in Fall River, we will leave no stone unturned. I appreciate the great work done by our Vice Unit and Gang Task force in removing two more illegally possessed guns from our community”.
