Massachusetts sees COVID-19 hospitalizations drop for second straight day, 9 reported dead
Massachusetts saw a decrease in hospitalizations for the second straight day in Monday’s COVID-19 report.
Massachusetts has seen 235 more positive cases announced today. A decrease from Sunday’s report. The 7 day weighted average positive test rate remains at 0.8%.
Massachusetts had seen 267 more positive cases announced yesterday.
The Massachusetts Department of Health statistics show a rise in total cases to 123,139 with 9 more reported dead for a total of 9,010.
12,201 tests were performed on new individuals, 99 more than yesterday’s report, to increase the amount of individuals tested to 1,968,234. The overall amount of tests administered is now 3,038,625.
Hospitalizations have decreased in 91 of the last 126 days as hospitalizations decreased by 11 today to see the total lower to 302.

• Total of individuals who have completed monitoring (no longer in quarantine): 81,102
• Total of individuals currently undergoing monitoring/under quarantine: 1,989
According to the CDC, as of September 14th, the total amount of COVID-19 cases in the country is 6,503,030 with 193,705 dead.
