FABRIC Arts Festival is a celebration of art, music, community and the city, that is taking place in Fall River until Saturday September 28, 2019.

Geographically, the program is centered in downtown Fall River, creating a hub for its events around Purchase Street, while local, national and international music performances will take place in nearby venues.

The only event requiring paid tickets is the double-bill concert by Lula Pena (6 pm) and Kelsey Lu (7pm), which will take place on September 28 at P.A.L. Tickets are non-transferable and grant access to both concerts. Doors open at 5:30, there’s no assigned seating.

“Argentinean street artist Elian Chali has left his mark on street corners in several continents. Now it’s Fall River’s turn. In the picture above, the mural he envisioned for the Spindle City started to take shape Tuesday on the corner of Bank and Greene streets as part of the FABRIC arts festival. Due to illness, the artist could not make the trip to Fall River. So the mural is being created, according to his plans, by local artists Manel-the Island Man and his son Kyle Furtado and graphic designer Joe Faria.”

There is also another mural going up opposite Domino’s Pizza on South Main Street that is also a part of the festival.
