Mayor Correia’s next hearing postponed, plea deal not yet discussed
Cases are often a slow process and the one involving Mayor Jasiel Correia II is no different.
Correia’s next scheduled hearing in response to the 13 charges against him has been postponed.
A joint interim status report which was filed on Wednesday, stated that the postponement of the February 13th hearing is due to Correia’s defense attorney Kevin Reddington not fully completing the review of 18,256 pages of discovery to determine if he will file motions.
The report also states that both parties have not had discussions concerning a possible plea deal.
The parties agreed that the scheduled interim status conference should be postponed to the week of April 22.
Correia was arrested and charged on October 11th of last year.
