Johnston woman arrested after her dog needs to be euthanized
Johnston Police arrested a woman on animal cruelty charges Wednesday.
According to Deputy Chief of Police Joseph Razza, members of the Johnston Police Department in conjunction with investigators of the Rhode Island SPCA responded to 776 Hartford Avenue (unit #6 ) and arrested Arianna Roberti.
Roberti, 30, is being charged with one misdemeanor count of violating RIGL 4-1-3 Unnecessay Crulty to Animals after investigators from the RISPCA investigated the alledged animal crutly complaint made against her.
According to the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Roberti’s 10 month old Chihuahua’s leg became infected to the point that it rotted to the bone and had to be euthanized.
Roberti was given a 3rd District Court Summons to appear on January 7, 2019 to answer to the above charges.
