Seekonk resident wins $1 million prize before Christmas

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Mark Goodinson of Seekonk is the twenty-seventh $1 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” instant game.

Goodinson chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (less tax withholdings). He plans on using his winnings to buy a home.

He purchased his winning ticket at Gabriel’s Exxon, 625 Fall River Ave. in Seekonk. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.

One $2 million prize and three $1 million prizes are still available in the “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” $10 instant game.
