The Fall River Police Department is inviting children under 16 to take part in a Halloween-themed photo contest featuring a Ghostbusters-style police cruiser.
The department announced Tuesday that the specially decorated cruiser will be on regular patrol around the city between Wednesday, October 28th, and Friday, October 30th. Kids who spot the cruiser can take a photo with it and submit the image through the department’s official Facebook Messenger to enter a random drawing. Five winners will each receive a Halloween prize bag.
To be eligible, photos must show the child with the Ghostbusters cruiser and be sent via Facebook Messenger by midnight on October 30th. Only one entry per child is allowed, and the contest is limited to those under 16. Officials noted that the cruiser remains on active duty, so participants should approach only when an officer is available and it is safe to do so.
The department described the contest as a way for officers to connect with the community in a lighthearted way during Halloween.
