A Massachusetts woman is rejoicing after recently hitting a big State Lottery prize that appears to be changing her life in the best way.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Melanie Fortin of Methuen is the winner of a $651,767 prize on a $1 bet while playing “Timber Wolf,” an online-only eInstant game available through Mass Lottery Online.
She claimed her $651,767 prize (before taxes) at the Mass Lottery’s headquarters in Dorchester. When claiming her prize, Fortin said, “it’s definitely going to be a big help for me and my family!” She plans on putting her winnings towards an engagement ring as well as family expenses.
Prizes won purchased online of $50,000 or more must be claimed at the Lottery’s headquarters in Dorchester.
To play Mass Lottery games online, players must be 21 or older and physically located in Massachusetts at the time of play and to make a deposit to their account.
