According to Steppingstone, in recognition of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, the annual tradition will continue to honor individuals and families experiencing homelessness and remind our community that homelessness is a year-round issue.
It will take place on Thursday, November 19th at 6:30 p.m.at First Step Inn, 134 Durfee Street, Fall River.
The evening will include guest speakers, a prayer service led by Fr. Rob of Blessed Trinity Parish, and inspirational homilies as we come together in reflection, compassion, and support.
Want to make a difference? Here are two ways to help:
Donate Essential Items: Collecting new adult underwear, hats, gloves, socks, and other essential items. Donations can be dropped off at the vigil or at First Step Inn during November 16–20.
Support the Flags of Hope Fundraiser: Throughout November, purchase a flag for just $5 to share a message of hope, remembrance, or gratitude. Flags will be displayed on Steppingstone property, and all proceeds will benefit First Step Inn. Flags can be purchased with cash or through Venmo (@steppingstone-inc) and picked up at 111 Durfee Street in Fall River.
