Diman “Operation Christmas” yields nearly 300 toys
The Christmas and Holiday season often shows the Greater Fall River giving spirit and Diman Regional is no exception.
According to a statement by Diman Regional, students and staff from the Dental Assisting and Culinary Arts programs teamed together to keep up the Annual Toy Drive tradition which was started many years ago by current Assistant Principal of Technical Affairs Maria Torres.
Close to 300 toys were donated to Citizens For Citizens annual Operation Christmas toy drive for those who are less fortunate. CFC currently has approximately 4,000 people signed up to receive toys.
According to the school, the Culinary Arts department donated the profits from their annual gingerbread house event to Diman’s Key Club, who donated the proceeds back to the toy drive.
The Culinary Arts department also held a raffle at the school.
