A man that was reportedly in the country illegally was arrested in Massachusetts after a tractor trailer crash involving a child.
According to ICE, earlier this month ICE Boston arrested Maximo Garcia-Lopez, an illegal alien from Guatemala, following his alleged involvement in a tractor trailer accident in Marlborough, Mass.
ICE stated that according to reports, Garcia-Lopez was the driver of the tractor trailer that made an illegal turn resulting in a crash with another vehicle that required a young child in that vehicle to receive emergency medical attention and be hospitalized.
ERO Boston later determined Garcia-Lopez does not have a commercial driver’s license or driver’s license.
According to Fox 11 News, Garcia-Lopez was cited Sept. 4 in Connecticut for allegedly driving a 60-foot, 18-wheel tractor-trailer without a license.
ICE said he was working for YMY Transport LLC, a company federal transportation records list as operating out of Colonial Heights, Virginia. Inspectors also found 31 additional violations involving the Freightliner tractor-trailer he was operating.
