Pedestrian and Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority train collide at station

A person was reportedly struck by a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority on Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, on Wednesday, Sharon Police Dispatch received a 911 call at just after 3:00 p.m. reporting an incident involving a pedestrian and a train at 1 Upland Road (Sharon MBTA Station).

Sharon Police and Fire responded to the area, confirming a fatality.

Sharon Police are actively assisting MBTA Police, Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, and Amtrack Police with the investigation.
