Two Fall River residents have been sentenced after a drug trafficking investigation led to arrests early last year.
According to police, on January 20th, 2025, investigators from the Community Action & Suppression Team successfully conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of three individuals for trafficking cocaine and fentanyl.
Approximately 173.81 grams of crack cocaine/cocaine and approximately 122.9 grams of fentanyl were seized.
As a result of the investigation, 26-year-old Tarsha Sousa, 48-year-old Ryan Kitchen, and 30-year-old Kameron Sousa were arrested and charged with Trafficking Fentanyl 100 Grams or More, Trafficking Cocaine 100 Grams or More, and Conspiracy.
Court records show that Tarsha Sousa pled guilty in Superior Court to Trafficking Cocaine 36 Grams or more, Less Than 100 Grams and Trafficking Fentanyl 36 Grams or more, Less Than 100 Grams and was sentenced to not less than 4 years to not more than 6 years with credit for 484 days already served.
On Tuesday in Superior Court, a hearing for a change of plea for Kameron Sousa was scheduled to be held, but was not. A final pretrial conference was then scheduled for February 5th of 2027.
In April of last year in District Court, Kitchen had the Conspiracy charge dropped and two drug distribution charges continued without a finding for a year and since a year has passed without additional charges, they have been dismissed.
