Thanks to family members, man wins $1 million on Massachusetts State Lottery scratch ticket; here are his plans

Not many of us can say that family members helped us win a million dollars but that is exactly what happened here, thanks to a scratch ticket.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Cory Choquette of Mechanicsville, MD has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s $10 “100X” scratch ticket game.

Choquette chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He plans on putting the winnings towards his children’s future.   

Visiting his family based in Massachusetts, he purchased the winning ticket at Valero, 1520 N Main St. in Palmer. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

“100X” has one $4,000,000 and three $1,000,000 prizes remaining.
