Fall River Police investigating after one injured in evening shooting in Corky Row

Fall River Police are on the scene of a shooting that left a victim injured.

According to Deputy Chief Barden Castro, at approximately 9:00 p.m. this evening, Fall River Police responded to the 300 block of Fourth Street following reports of a shooting.  

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford for medical treatment.

Officers and detectives remain on scene actively investigating the incident.

Castro stated that as the investigation is in its early stages, information is still developing, and no additional details are available for release at this time.
