Luck is on her side as woman wins first $1 million prize on new Massachusetts State Lottery game

A woman was lucky enough to win the first $1 million prize on a new State Lottery scratch ticket and knows exactly how she will spend it.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Lilibeth Bolivar of Cumberland, RI has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$1,000,000 Neon Cash” $5 instant ticket game that went on sale Tuesday, May 12.

Bolivar chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). She plans to buy a house with the winnings.

She purchased her winning ticket at Quick Stop Shop, 250 East Main St. in Norton while stopping for a soda. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

The “$1,000,000 Neon Cash” instant ticket includes four more instant grand prizes of $1 million.
