Two local men held without bail in Fall River Superior Court on drug trafficking charges

Two local men faced a judge Friday on drug charges in Superior Court.

According to Lieutenant Benjamin Levesque, the Freetown Police Department previously executed a search warrant at a residence located at 150 Chace Road as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected drug activity.

As a result of the search, officers located and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine from within the residence.

Two individuals were taken into custody as a result of the investigation:

• Matthew Clark, age 32, of Freetown

• Brandon DeMoranville, age 39, of Freetown

Both individuals are facing the following charges:

• Clark: Trafficking in Cocaine, 200 Grams or More

• DeMoranville: Trafficking in Cocaine, 200 Grams or More; Destruction of Evidence

Following their arrest, both individuals were transported to the Bristol County House of Correction. Bail was set at $50,000 for DeMoranville and $25,000 for Clark.

Clark and DeMoranville were later arraigned in Fall River District Court.

Court records show that on Friday, both were arraigned in Fall River Superior Court. and pled not guilty. They were held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for June 8th.

The Freetown Police Department was assisted by the Lakeville Police Department and the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit.
