21-year-old Massachusetts man held without bail after allegedly murdering girlfriend during intimate moment
A young Massachusetts man pled not guilty Tuesday morning after being accused of fatally shooting his live-in girlfriend.
According to the District Attorney’s Office, on Saturday, at just after 3:15 a.m., the Lawrence Police Department received a 911 call and subsequently responded to an apartment at 240 Canal Street. Upon arrival, a female was located with a severe head wound. The unresponsive victim was immediately transported to Merrimack Health Lawrence Hospital and, shortly after arriving, was pronounced deceased.
Tyler Halley, 21, of Lawrence has been charged with murder and was held without bail at arraignment Tuesday in Lawrence District Court.
According to multiple reports, Halley allegedly shot his girlfriend during an intimate moment at their home.
20-year-old Madison Tesniere has been identified as the victim by the District Attorney’s Office.
No other details were released and the report was impounded.
This is an active and ongoing investigation being conducted by Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Essex County District Attorney’s Office, the Lawrence Police Department, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Halley has a probable cause hearing scheduled for June 24th.
All suspects and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
